Prescription Compounding

We are dedicated to improve the lives of the people who aren’t served by mass-produced medication. This has been a very rewarding part of our business. It is great to the positive impact compounded medication can have on a patient’s life.

What is RX compounding?

Pharmacists have compounded medication since the profession began. Special flavorings, unique dosage forms, innovative delivery methods- using these tools and more, compounding pharmacists work with prescribers to fill a gap through customized solutions for specific patients.

Why would I want/need to have my prescription compound?

It all starts with a problem. If you need a specific medication, dosage form, or strength that is not commercially available then a compounded medication may solve that problem.

A child who can’t swallow pills, a patient with a gluten allergy, the much-needed drug that’s in short supply. For whatever reason, mass-produced medication simply doesn’t work for everyone.

Why can't my regular pharmacy compound my prescription?

Although compounding has been a component of the practice of our pharmacy for many years, it does take state-of-the-art equipment, chemicals and advanced techniques to ensure quality products. Other pharmacies may not have the time, equipment, chemicals or expertise to "custom-make" your prescription.
